Objectives To develop a common understanding of the need for and existing systems of best practice for data collection, collation, sharing and analysis to inform disease outbreak management. To create a real time data sharing platform for disease outbreaks building on existing best practice. To support mechanisms for rapid data sharing during disease outbreaks in collaboration with national and supranational partners such as the African Centres for Disease Control To develop harmonized and adaptable databases to allow rapid sharing of high quality clinical trials data and biological samples across sites. Place, Date of the presnetation Deliverables 6.1: Workshop report on engagement with local communities Held a meeting with MOH team responsible for emerging and re-emerging disease to introduce PANDORA Identified areas that the MOH is keen to work with PANDORA Characterization of viruses and impact in clinical outcomes, Training on syndromic approach to managing patients, Tapping into the laboratory capacity of the PANDORA team by training of peripheral labs and the use of the mobile lab capability for RT-PCR assays during outbreaks, The use of Afyadata mobile application by health workers for surveillance.
