Write It, Draw It, Use It (at least 10 words) Name: ____________________________ Spelling Choice Board The following choice board includes a variety of ways for your child to practice his/her spelling words. Each student is required to choose 2 activities to complete for homework. Please have your child color the 2 boxes for the activities they have chosen and return their signed choice board and completed work on Friday, February 1. Story Words Write a short story with at least 10 spelling words. Underline the spelling words used in your story. Be sure to use correct capitalization and punctuation. Syllable Words (List 2) Write the first 10 spelling words as a list. Then, write each spelling word again by separating it into syllables. Example: beautiful beau-ti-ful Practice Test Have a parent or sibling give you a written practice test of your spelling words. Write the words you missed 3 times on the back. Back Writing With your finger, write a spelling word on someone’s back. Then have the person guess what word was written. Take turns. Parent Signature: ___________________ Word Search Go to www.puzzlemaker.com to create and print a word find using all of your spelling words. Be sure to highlight or circle each of the words.
