Vocab Week 2 Mr. Addeo

Science The study of the natural world through observation and experimentation.

Hypothesis A possible explanation to a scientific question based on prior knowledge and observation.

Independent Variable The one factor that the scientist changes during an experiment.

Dependent Variable What is being measured in an experiment.

Control Group The group in an experiment or study that does not receive treatment by the researchers and is used for comparison to measure how the other tested subjects do.
