Periodic Table of Elements Having a regular, repeating pattern

Dimitri Mendeleev (1869) Credited for coming up with the periodic table Arranged elements based on properties and increasing atomic mass! Left blank spaces for undiscovered elements and even predicted their properties!

Periodic Law THE ONLY THING WE CHANGED: We now organize elements by # of protons Periodic Law Properties of elements change with increasing atomic number in a periodic way.

Blank Periodic Table Groups = vertical (up and down) columns Elements have similar physical & chemical properties We will label “A” Groups with ROMAN NUMERALS!
