Music room basics Each student receives 50 minutes of musical instruction every four school days. We participate in music through a variety of activities, such as: playing instruments, singing, moving, writing music, improvising, studying composers and genres of music. All students are expected to participate to the best of their ability.

Grading standards Grades will be on the same grading scale as in the classroom (E, M, P, N) Grading standards are as follows:  Elements of music: Rhythm, Melody, Form, Expressive Qualities and Timbre Performance/Rehearsal skills: Vocal Skills, Instrumental Skills and Etiquette Overall effort

Grading standards Effort is scaled each quarter and will be included on the grade card. The musical standards will be assessed by semester and included on the 2nd quarter and 4th quarter grade cards.
