Repaso(Review) To say that someone likes a singular item use: Gusta To say that someone likes a plural item use: Gustan To ask “what” someone likes use ¿Qué? with gusta/gustan Ejemplo: ¿Qué te gusta? Me gusta el helado What do you like? I like ice cream.

Gustar with Pronouns Place the appropriate pronoun in front of gusta/n to say who likes something: me gusta/n I like nos We like te You (tú) like os You (all) like le He, she likes You (ud.) like les They like, you (all) like

¿A quién le gusta? ¿A quiénes les gusta? When using the pronoun le and les you must use ¿A quién? or ¿A quiénes? to ask who likes something. Use the personal A in front of the names of people to clarify who likes something. Ejemplo: ¿A quién le gusta la pizza? Who likes pizza? A Luisa le gusta la pizza. Luisa likes pizza.

¿por qué? and porque To ask why someone likes something use: ¿Por qué? To answer because use: Porque Ejemplo: ¿Por qué te gustan los deportes? Why do you like sports? Me gustan porque son divertidos. I like them because they are fun.

The Preposition “de” Ejemplos: Used to show possession or relationship. Describes types of things. Used to say where someone is from. De followed by the article el becomes del. (de + el =del) Ejemplos: Es el carro de Juan. 2. Los libros de amor. 3. Paco es de Cuba. 4. El teléfono del profesor.
