Reading level D with fluency and comprehension. Time: 8:15 to 9:10 Literacy time will be taught using a workshop method. At least 50% of the instruction will take place in small groups. What they will learn: Common Core Standards Reading level D with fluency and comprehension.

Writing at least 3 sentences on a given topic. Time: 12:05 to 1:00 Writing time will also be taught using a workshop method. Each day will start with a mini-lesson followed by students working on writing and conferencing with the teacher. A copy of the homework assignment can be found on the website. Homework assignments will be sent home each week. The assignments will be based on the focus skills for the week and also skills that are not explicitly taught in school such as tying shoes.
