MDTP Test Profile Selected Response Diagnostic Tests assess readiness at levels from 7 th grade mathematics to Calculus Available at no cost in paper format and in online testing/reporting format through the Daskala platform Written Response items available at no cost on protected CDs

CCSSM Developments Pre-Algebra readiness (PR40A04) and Algebra readiness (AR45A10) will be replaced by three tests currently being field tested: 7R (readiness for 7 th grade math) 8R (readiness for 8 th grade math) AR (readiness for HS algebra)

Integrated Curriculum Options AR, GR, SR sequence of tests will be paralleled by: MATH 1 readiness MATH 2 readiness Math 3 readiness These will replace the IS and IT MDTP tests Field testing will begin fall 2014

Geometry Geometry presents special challenges to readiness assessment Common Core requires a modern approach to Geometry, but when or even if the necessary development of fundamental ideas takes place in earlier grades is crucial Example: Geometry of the line – not only analytical (number line) but also synthetic (translation, and reflection about a given point) – needs study even before Algebra and within MATH 1
