Investigating mL and revisiting variables Drops on a penny lab Investigating mL and revisiting variables

First lets define some of the terminology First lets define some of the terminology. Cohesion- When molecules of the same type are attracted to each other.

Surface Tension- The name given to the cohesion of water molecules at the surface of a body of water.

Now lets talk variables. What are they again??? Why are they important to the scientific method?

Let’s use these images to help us identify the variable in our experiment.

Lab safety rules Keep lids on containers when not in use. Clean up spills immediately. Was hands before and after experiment. Take your time and do not rush through the lab. Stay seated during the experiment.
