Elements of Art The Elements of Art are the building blocks for a work of art. Artists use the elements in planned and organized ways. They are organized according to the Principles of Design.

Space    Space is the illusion of objects having depth on the 2-dimensional surface. Linear and aerial perspective are used. Space also uses positive and negative space. The space around an object when it is framed is also crucial for the composition of your picture.
