3. LINE  A line is a basic element of art, referring to a continuous mark, made on a surface, by a moving point. 3

4. SHAPE 4  An enclosed space created by a line.  There are two types of shape:  Organic- free flowing (found in nature, never the exact same)  Geometric- man made (they are symmetrical)

5. SPACE 5  Distances or areas around, between or within components of art. Positive Space Negative Space

6. FORM 6  a 3-D geometrical figure. Can hold it, or it would look like you could hold it. (examples: sphere, cube, cylinder, cone, etc.) Shape is FLAT and forms are, or appear 3D

7. COLOR 7  The look of an something in the light. Without light, we wouldn’t have color.

8. COLOR CONTINUED… 8 Primary Colors:Secondary Colors: -Red -Yellow -Blue -Red + Blue = Violet -Yellow + Red = Orange -Blue + Yellow = Green Complimentary Colors: Are directly across from each other on the color wheel.
