The Main Themes The enlargement of the EU is a major issue 10 new countries will have formal involvement in the EU from 1 May, 2004 There will be integration issues to consider The future evolution of EPAN will also need to be considered in the context of the Medium Term Programme and Task Force Enlargement

Priorities and Main Activities Better Regulation Priorities and Main Activities Promote and monitor the effective implementation of the recommendations of the Mandelkern Report on Better Regulation at Member State and EU level Support the dissemination of good practice on Better Regulation amongst Member States and with the Commission Taking account of the enlargement of the EU, place particular emphasis on the views and activities of the new Member States
