Strengthening the air quality management community in Asia Partnership for Clean Air Mission To promote air quality management as a multi-stakeholder effort in the Philippines To facilitate air quality activities of members and stakeholders Objectives To strengthen stakeholders’ participation in addressing air quality management issues To facilitate information exchange among network members Business Plan Knowledge Management Moderate the discussion group on air quality management Provide regular updates on the website on air quality management initiatives Facilitate the exchange of information on air quality management in the country through city sharing programs, seminars, dialogues Capacity Building Identify capacity building needs and facilitate air quality trainings for network members Develop training manual for air quality management Conduct air quality management trainings in 7 cities in partnership with League of Cities of the Philippines and city members Policy Development Participate in review of air quality standards, vehicle emission standards and fuel quality standards Air Quality Management Strategies & Projects Provide inputs to the Technical Working Group on the pre-feasibility study of Bus Rapid Transit Promote initiatives on non-motorized transport/ pedestrianization and other sustainable transportation options Support efforts for cleaner, more efficient tricycles Support efforts on the use of cleaner fuels, e.g., CME, CNG, ethanol, etc. Support enforcement of the ban on open burning Events and Workshops Convene regular General Assemblies Coordinate activities of Philippine participants in the Better Air Quality Forum 2006 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia Contact Information Focal Point: Joyce J.
