The Great Fire of London. YEAR 2: Orange Class Spring Term Outcomes To make a historical report about the Great Fire of London. To perform and share our knowledge in our class assembly. To make models and maps to represent London during the Stuart period. Skills I can use words and phrases like before, after, past, present, then and now. I can answer questions using books and the internet. I can research the life of a famous person from the past using different sources of evidence. Knowledge Recall major events surrounding the Great Fire of London. Recount the life of Samuel Pepys and be able to explain what he did before, during and after the fire. Explain the reasons why the Great Fire started and spread across London. Be able to order events from the Great Fire of London. HISTORY Skills I can find where I live on a map. I can explain the facilities that a capital city has. I can research the River Thames. I can draw a map of historically accurate London and label the key landmarks. I can compare geographical features and say what I like and do not like about a different place. Knowledge Name the capital cities in the UK List the different jobs people have in my local community. Compare and contrast our community to another community. Explain how an area has been spoilt and give reasons why.
