Presentation transcript:

What: The heading and banner are at the top How: there is a yellow background, with black text. Why: the heading is in the top left, which is the zone your eye goes to first. The yellow is bright and cheerful and stands out. The black text is a contrast and is a neutral, strong, masculine colour. What: Above the fold there are 11 separate thumbnail images. How: There is a main picture of the Fifa logo and one image of “GOSSIP” is a link to another page. Then there are 9 images of sports and people. Why: The pictures match the headings so people know what they are going to read about. Every single image is of men showing that the target audience are most interested in men's football. What: There are at least 15 frames with pictures and words. How: Why:  Pop ups HYPERLINKS SOUND SEARCH BOX FRAMES What: There is some copy above the fold, but most of the page has just headings, links and images. How: the copy is mostly black. Some links are in green, which take you to other sport pages: green is an active, nature colour. There is also white copy on the navigation bar, with a black background, this is to make it different to the main navigation bar, which is in black. Why: Black is a standard, sophisticated colour and BBC is a global brand, that is recognised as being accurate and detailed. The copy is clean and classy, to support the brand identity. What How Why What: There are links to sports videos. How: There are thumb nail clips and hyperlinks. The video has a heading explaining what it is. Why: Because people are interested and enjoy videos more then they enjoy reading. Further down the page there are lots of links to videos to attract a male audience. What How Why What How Why What How Why

The search box is in the top right corner to improve the usability for the viewer. This is because traditionally the search box is in that place, which matches western Z layouts for the web page. It means that users understand where features are and don’t have to search for them. The heading is big and clear next to the relevant picture, it is written in white on a blue back ground because it stands out and the colours are relevant to Arsenal kit colours. This helps the target audience feel pride and a sense of identity because the website reflects the team as a whole and make it seem like an extension of the club and players. Hyperlink helps you to go to other useful websites. Drop down menu it makes the front page of the website look more organised There are lots of images because it makes the website more interesting The badge is there to represent arsenal as it is there website, also it is in the top left because we read from left to right so that will be one of the first things to catch our eye. The demographic statues of the websites target audience would be males, aged 14-35, all races living in a normal urban and modern homes. Their ibs category would be B/C1/C2/E/D. frames (the website is made up of frames.) everything is in a frame. There are not many frames. This makes the main focus the pictures, because the target audience do not want to read too many words Copy ( the writing) it is not a formal copy but it isn't informal either. It is so that the target audience is not put off or left out by language that is too formal & difficult. Or language that is too chatty and young. It is a middle language that everyone can understand. The video is there so you can see the latest highlights . The target audience want to see the action and video lets them relive what has happened. It is more interesting than reading for the target male demographic.
