SURFLAND

Preamble We the people of Surf Nation in order to live a radical life filled with epic adventures, tasty waves, super long tube rides, and endless stoke, implement this Constitution to serve as our way of life on this majestic ocean water dominated planet.

Off the Lip Branch Must own your own surfboard (any shape and size) Must surf dawn patrol with a fellow Surf Nation citizen at least 5 days a week (hours must be signed off by surf site representative) Must attend 3 hours of “Board Meetings” at the Board Room located in your local sector. Qualifications At least 18 years old (No groms allowed) Have been surfing regularly for 6 years Able to devote all time and efforts to the “Board Members” at any time and notice.

Toes on the Nose Branch Surf Nation representatives will take posts at all local surf spots to take roll for dawn patrol sessions and to ensure you have your own surfboard. Submit a signed off log of total amount of dawn patrol surfing hours weekly to Surf Nation committee. Regular attendance to Board Meetings will be monitored by attendance sign in sheets, as well as fellow Surf Nation citizens verifying your presence. Qualifications Must be at least 45 years old A well known Old timer within your Surf community Must have watched Bruce Brown’s original Endless Summer 62 times.

Longest Barrel Ride Branch You need to own your own surfboard because there is a special bond between a surfer and his board. Dawn Patrol surfing is a time where you can really become one with the ocean and waves. Board meetings are a way for you and your fellow surfers to form a camaraderie with one another and share stories. Qualifications Must be 21 years old Established a long list of “Bros” Messy, nappy, salt water hair dew at all times

BOARD MEETING

Bill of Rights Right to be eligible to join any local chapter of Surf Nation as long as you are a local there. Right to own as many surfboards as you like. Have a steady diet of fish tacos. Participate in as many other water sports as you’d like (paddle board, SUP, ocean kayak, etc…) Can skate to substitute surfing when the waves are down. Film your Bros if the surf is too gnarly for your skill level.

Bill of Rights 7. Take regular visits to the corner store for donuts and frozen burritos. 8. Hang out front of your local surf shop to keep the kooks away. 9. To use a half of day to nap and catch up on lazy activities. 10. Ride either a longboard, shortboard, or both.
