vv.45-46 Creating a king or Worshipping a King?

“He (God) raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,  far above all rule and authority, power and dominion . . .” Ephesians 1.20-21

vv.47-52 Mistaken Identity or Affirmed Identity?

These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Colossians 2.17

“ . . .take off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator . . . Christ is all and in all.” Colossians 3.9-11

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” John 6.26-29

vv.53-56 Recognizing a Limited God or a Limitless God?

The wind blows wherever it pleases The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” John 3.8

By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me. John 5.30 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” John 8.29

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1.10
