WHAT IS SAFE DATING? SAFE DATING is being in a positive relationship. One in which COMMUNICATION & TRUST ARE KEY.

DATING is the process by which a couple gets to know one another.

being HARMED, INJURED, CONTROLLED, VERBALLY, EMOTIONALLY, PSYCHOLOGICALLY, AND/OR PHYSICALLY PRESSURED INTO ANY KIND OF SEXUAL ACTIVITY

ARE NOT PART OF THE GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER PROCESS!!!

KNOW YOUR LIMITS (i.e. sexual) & MAKE SURE YOU PARTNER KNOWS THEM TOO

The TIME you spend together should make you HAPPY, NOT SAD, emotionally drained or hurt.

STOP ABUSE BEFORE IT HAPPENS! KNOW THE SIGNS OF THE UNFORGIVING CYCLE

CYCLE OF ABUSE: INITIAL STAGES: 1.tension building, 2.incident (abuse/ fight), 3.reconciliation (making-up), 4.calm (incident is forgotten overlooked)

EVENTUALLY THERE IS NO RECONCILIATION OR CALM, BUT SIMPLY… 1. A TENSION BUILDING STAGE & 2. INCIDENT STAGE
