Proposal to Queen St. W. BIA In its eighth year, Indie Week (October 12-16, 2011) hosts 160+ acts from all over the world, and showcases them in live-music venues on Queen Street and other select locations in downtown Toronto. In 2010, Indie Week drew the following to the area during the week: – 3,000+ music fans – 600 musicians/performers – 100+ music industry professionals – Media (ranging from bloggers to traditional press) Local businesses stand to benefit from increased business from the attendees of the festival. We would like to build awareness of both the festival and the businesses of Queen Street by partnering in areas where both parties benefit. We are looking long term in building the relationships with the businesses of Queen Street.

Year 1 (2011) – Establish New Business Partners These are businesses that we feel are an immediate fit for the festival. While not exclusive to the list, it is something that we feel is be executable in the first year, and would comprise a foundation that could be developed into the second year. Each business would be asked to contribute approximately $250 for a fullpage co-op advertisement Indie Week on Queen St. in NOW Magazine.
