2. The carnival is the major event for Virginia State School’s Community this year, and we expect thousands of people through our front gates. The event is being organised by an array of volunteers who make up the fete committee which is a subcommittee of the Virginia SS P & C Association. Our aim is to showcase the school, and local business and lifestyle in Virginia and the surrounding North-East suburbs of Brisbane. The Carnival will be a free family event and will be attended by all age groups, ranging from children to grandparents. This Celebration will be operational with assistance from fundraising events within the school community, and support from local businesses. The 2010 Birthday Celebration will be held on Saturday 23 October, 2:00pm – 8:00pm. VIRGINIA STATE SCHOOL

3. Entertainment The Celebration will come alive with an array of colour, entertainment and festivities as locals and visitors wander the site enjoying the carnival atmosphere. Live performances will entertain the crowds, whilst International and Local food stalls cook up a storm as the aroma lingers in the air to tempt the palate. Entertainment will play all day on the stage in celebration of the last 90 years with something for everyone - children performers, bands and singers, local entertainers, dancers, hot rods, unique stalls plus rides for children and adults. The fete will culminate with a fireworks extravaganza.

4. Sponsorship There are 4 levels of sponsorship on offer for the Birthday Celebration: Platinum Gold Silver Bronze The benefits offered for each category as outlined in this document should be taken as a guide only. 5. Platinum Sponsor Fireworks Sponsorship $ 2,000 (plus GST) All marketing and advertising for the Carnival includes the Sponsor Name and logo (for printed matter). Public Media Promotion begins 10 weeks prior to the event. Event Promotion Fireworks Naming Rights Carnival organisers will provide a 3m x 1.5 m Sponsor banner that will be located on the stage. Promotional callouts throughout the event on the stage. Logo and business name advertised on Sponsorship Wall on the day. Media Promotion Large logo exposure on print media and carnival advertising which include: Carnival posters Carnival programs Carnival flyers Monthly Carnival Newsletters distributed to the school community Inclusion in local newspaper ‘wraps’, editorials and general Carnival advertising, including advertising in Northside Chronicle and Bayside Star. Event advertisements on local radio with Naming Rights to Fireworks Large Advertisement in Carnival Program Sponsor summary and logo on Event Web including additional features to benefit sponsors.

6. Gold Sponsor Naming rights to an Activity Area $ 1,600 (plus GST) Event Promotion Naming Rights to the sponsored activity area (ex. Super Satellite, Screamer Slide etc) Carnival organisers will provide a 3m x 1m Sponsor banner that will be located on the sponsored activity area Logo and business name advertised on Sponsorship Wall Promotional callouts throughout the event on the stage. Media Promotion Logo exposure on print media and carnival advertising which includes: Carnival Advertisement in local newspapers Monthly Carnival Newsletters distributed to school community Carnival posters Carnival programs Carnival flyers Event advertisements on local radio Sponsor summary and logo on Web including additional features to benefit sponsors. Silver Sponsor Stall Sponsorship $600 (plus GST) Event Promotion Sponsorship of a stall (Petting Zoo, Crazy Hair, Speed Ball Competition etc) Pull up Banner at the activity or stall area Logo and business name advertised on Sponsorship Wall Promotional callout throughout the event on the stage when promoting the stall Media Promotion Inclusion in general carnival advertising including Carnival flyers Carnival programs Carnival newsletters distributed monthly to school community Logo on Web including additional features to benefit sponsors.
