The United Nations Organisation How does it help to meet the needs of people in Africa?

What is the UN? It started after World War II It is made up of nearly 150 different countries Its main aims are Peace Prosperity Equal Rights For all human beings

How does it help to meet the needs of people in Africa? The UN has different organisations which help in different ways. We will study 2 of those organisations: U.N.I.C.E.F. (UN International Children's Emergency Fund) W.H.O. (The World Health Organisation)

What does U.N.I.C.E.F do? helps children in need improves mother and child health care organises emergency relief after a disaster

Scottish film star Ewan Mc Gregor is now a UNICEF ambassador – he will try to get the publics attention to problems UNICEF is trying to help. He decided to do this after he met a group of street children, some as young as 2, living in underground passages in Russia
