1 A Global Citizen who considers themselves as a citizen on a Global level and is involved in, self and local community issues that promote equality, human rights, dignity, care for fellow human beings world wide as well as internationally. A Global Citizen actively participates in groups that promote environmental sustainability, equality, education, peace and freedom both in their local community and county and worldwide. 3 an international organization that works for environmental conservation and the preservation of endangered species. Greenpeace stands for positive change through action. They defend the natural world and promote peace. As a global organisation, Greenpeace focuses on the most crucial worldwide threats to our planet's biodiversity and environment. They investigate, expose and confront environmental abuse by governments and corporations around the world. They promote open, informed debates about society's environmental choices. They use high-profile, non-violent direct action, research and quiet diplomacy to pursue our goals and raise the level and quality of public debate as the catalyst for change.

4 Amnesty International is a global movement of over 2.2 million people in more than 150 countries who contribute their time, money and expertise to the promotion of human rights and international campaigning against some of the most serious violations, including imprisonment for beliefs or identity, torture and killings. Amnesty International does this by: providing accurate, impartial information concerning human rights creating and mobilizing a global community of human rights defenders to take effective action against human rights violations.

5 World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization working for the well being of all people, especially children. Through emergency relief, education, health care, economic development and promotion of justice, World Vision helps impoverished communities help themselves.

6 Over 20,000 New Zealanders volunteer with Red Cross each year. They help New Zealand Red Cross improve the lives of vulnerable people in our communities through programmes such as: New Zealanders in need: breakfast in schools, meals on wheels, wander risk tracking, community support, health services support and refugee support programmes In addition, many of their volunteers are trained and ready to take action in times of crisis: Emergency management, community first aid, red cross message, tracing family members, travel documents and the national inquiry center.

7 Every moment of every day, UNICEF is on the ground providing lifesaving help for children in need. They provide families with clean water and sanitation, we vaccinate against childhood illness, and they help protect children against malaria. they provide nourishment to fight malnutrition, and they care for children affected by AIDS. Unicef protects children from abuse, and gives them an education. Unicef are there to make sure that all children lead a healthy, humane, and dignified life.

8 Starving children in Africa Poverty Environmental issues such as: rising sea levels, deforestation, raising food and gasoline costs etc … Lack of free education Lack of political freedom Diseases: malaria, HIV/AIDS, cancer, T.B etc.. Lack of employment Lack of hospitals, medication and treatment Racism Religious persecution War AND MANY MORE…

9 Donate to a group that is related to these issues Join one of these groups locally Learn more about global issues Protest if needed Spread the word about these issues so that more people know about them and can help out. Post things on the internet Write articles and put them in the local news paper Make speeches in school assembly's or local gatherings Create your own club or organization and help with these issues make pan flits and put them up in your community AND MANY MORE…

10 Thank you for reading my presentation. I hope you are now as concerned as I am about these global issues and know what to do about them. I really hope that we can all work hard to make ourselves global citizens so that we can work together and make the world a better place to live in for us and our future generations. 11 I think I did well in this project, but not great. I don’t think that I reached my full potential and think I could have done better. I still think I did well in some area’s such as presentation and information. But due to lack of time I did not reach my full standards.
