Complex Sentences Complex Sentence: one or more independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses

Adverb Clause Adjective Clause: a dependent clause that takes the place of an adjective in a sentence can be removed from the sentence and the sentence will still makes sense also known as a relative clause it will contain a subject and verb but is not a complete thought an adjective clause that modifies the noun it follows can be introduced by a relative pronoun (who, whom, whose, which, that) or relative adverb (when, where, why)
