2 Adverb Clauses An adverb clause is a dependent clause that modifies, or describes, the verb in the independent clause of a complex sentence. Just like adverbs, adverb clauses tell how, when, where, why, or under what condition.

3 Subordinating Conjunctions
Subordinating conjunctions are words that usually come before an adverb clause. After Before Though Whenever Although If Unless Where As Since Until Whereas Because Than When Wherever

4 Adverb Clause Examples
The milk in the refrigerator stinks because it is out of date. The adverb clause in red describes why the milk stinks.

5 You try it!! Make up a sentence with an adverb clause about your favorite song. BE CREATIVE!!!!
