Flag The first American Flag only had 13 stars and 13 stripes. The Flag had a meaning then and it still does now. The stars mean all of the states, the stripes mean all of the colonies, the red means courage, the white means liberty, and the blue stands for loyalty. Nobody knows who made the first Flag but now the Flag hangs out of schools, post offices, and government buildings. Now you know about the American Flag.

Star spangled banner The Star Spangled Banner is our national anthem. It was written by Francis Scott Key, it was written during the war of 1812 to honor the soldiers. This song started as a poem but now it is sung at important events, Americans show respect when it is sang. Now you know more about the Star Spangled Banner.

Liberty bell The Liberty Bell was made out of copper, it was made in England by John Pass and John Stow. The Bell was made for the state house in Philadelphia. The Bell was rang to show Americans independence. Lastly the Bell got its name from a poem. Now you know more about the Liberty Bell.

Statue of liberty The Statue of Liberty stands for American freedom. The tablet stands for the laws of U.S.A. The torch stands for the light of freedom. The chains by her feet means the Statue is free. The Statue was also a gift from France. Now you know more about the Statue of Liberty.

Bald eagle The Bald Eagle is a very important U.S. symbol. It stands for courage, strength, and American freedom. Charles Thomson drew the Eagle and American congress found and chose his drawing. Now you know about the Bald Eagle.
