Grease+Gard II–What is it? Market Issues Grease+Gard II Sales Opportunity Grease+Gard II Models How Does It Work The Agitator Grease+Gard II Operation Installation/ Applications Listings/ Certifications Grease+Gard II System Summary

Grease+Gard II is the first approved Grease Recovery Device (GRD) that can be used on above-the-floor and in-floor grease interceptor applications. Grease+Gard II is also the first approved GRD application device that can also be used as a retrofit unit on most other manufacturers interceptors.

Dealing with grease; dipping, pumping/disposal costs and cleaning pipe blockages. Cleaning schedule, frequency and related high operating costs. Meeting stringent discharge requirements and paying surcharges/fines for non-compliance. Increasing enforcement and tightening of Federal regulations.

Grease+Gard II Retrofit Skimmer (Pat. # 7,296,694) is the only retrofit device intended for GRD applications on the market today. The retrofit unit can be installed on most interceptors, saving thousands in interceptor replacement costs. The retrofit unit is a less expensive alternative to a standard grease recovery device. Meets applicable code requirements. Efficient and simple solutions for different applications. Smith now has a competitive GRD that equals the competition.

Solids interceptors provide a way to collect food solids to prevent them from entering the grease interceptor. Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co. offers an array of optional inline solids interceptors and indirect waste solids with Grease+Gard II systems in extreme applications. Fig. No Fig. No. 8980

Belt technology along with a heater and timer. The belt cycles through the grease layer. Grease sticks to the belt. The skimmer blades wipe the grease off the belt. The grease goes off the skimmer blades and into the grease trough. The grease trough feeds the grease into the grease bucket where it is collected and removed daily to a barrel for proper disposal. Inline solids interceptor is optional and not included with the purchase of the Grease+Gard II unit

Grease + Gard II eliminates the need to stir the contents with Agitator technology, which maintains circulation in the interceptor. Helps circulate the top grease layer. Aids in drawing the grease to the belt. Patented # 7,296,694.

This GRD model can be used on most in floor and above floor interceptor applications. The tower is 13 1/4 high from the interceptor cover. Can add an extension to in ground applications if needed. Available in 20, 25, 35 and 50 GPM. Fig. No Fig. No. 8166

Regularly Furnished: Automatic Grease Recovery Device (GRD) with Type 304 Stainless Steel Interceptor, No-Hub Connections, Flow Control Fitting, Dual Heaters and Grease+Gard ® II Skimmer with Grease Reservoir. Fig. No Fig. No. 8166

This model is designed to fit into tight spaces where there are clearance issues. It is designed for above floor installations only. The tower is 7 1/4 high from the interceptor cover. Available in 20, 25,35 and 50 GPM. Fig. No Fig. No. 8176

Regularly Furnished: Automatic Grease Recovery Device (GRD) with Low Profile Grease+Gard ® II Skimmer and Grease Reservoir, Dual Heaters, Type 304 Stainless Steel Interceptor with No-Hub Connections and Flow Control Fitting. Fig. No Fig. No. 8176

Retrofit on existing grease interceptor cover. The tower is 13 1/4 high. Requires a square cut out of the top of the interceptor for installation. This model can be used on most in-floor and some above floor interceptor applications. Fig. No. 8165GG

Regularly Furnished: Stainless Steel Housing, Adjustable Timer, Skimming Belt, Mounting Base with Gasket, Dual Heaters and Removable Grease Reservoir. Fig. No. 8165GG

Regularly Furnished: Low Profile Stainless Steel Housing, Adjustable Timer, Skimming Belt, Mounting Plate with Gasket, Dual Heaters and Removable Grease Reservoir. Fig. No. 8175GG

Sold Separately–not included with the Grease+Gard II. Inline and indirect solid interceptor assemblies to be installed at the solids source. Primary and secondary straining systems in each system. Any solids due to erosion that pass the primary screen and sink to the bottom of the sump will be captured and removed by the filter bag. Future capabilities of being semi-automatic. IAPMO listed as a GRD for territories using the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). This IAPMO listing of our GRDs is for both new installations and retrofit installations on other manufacturers interceptors. The 8165GG and 8175GG are IAPMO listed through the MC (Material and Component) listing program. PDI Certified. Tested and certified to the National Consensus Standards ASME A and A – Grease Removal Devices.

Smith now has the broadest product line of Grease and Solids Interceptors in the entire industry = more opportunities to close a sale to fit everyones budget or configurations. Grease+Gard II Retrofit Skimmer (patent pending) is the only retrofit device for GRD applications on the market today. Grease+Gard II Retrofit Skimmer can be installed on most interceptors, saving thousands in interceptor replacement costs. The Retrofit Skimmers (8165GG and 8175GG) are less expensive alternatives to grease recovery devices. Approved, efficient and simple solutions for different applications.
