How important was the leadership of Brigham Young in both leading the Mormons to the Great Salt Lake and then settling there? 12 marks Level 1: Simple statements about the Mormons or Brigham Young. (1-2 marks) (General Facts) Level 2: Answer talks briefly about several factors to do with the question (Lists reasons, no real detail) OR Answer explains one factor in detail and has good spelling and grammar (3 – 6 marks) (One reason explained with details) Level 3: Answer explains several factors in detail and uses specific key words (7-10 marks) (3 or 4 reasons explained with details) Level 4: Same as level 3 but with a clear, supported conclusion that evaluates which factor was most important or shows links between factors.
