Overview Open an existing FileMaker Pro database Navigate the FileMaker Pro interface Find a record Enter new data Update a record Delete information Sort and query the database Prepare a simple layout

What is a database? Method of organizing & analyzing information.

Why use a database? Allows you to organize & analyze in many different ways. Use different criteria & conditions Group information Sort information Find information Calculate

AND Condition Find records that match multiple criteria Example: Members who are both from the U.S. & are new members

OR Condition Find records that match one or more criterion in a single field. Example: All members located either in NY or London
