فرآيندهاي مديريت پروژه : (project management processes) در اکثر پروژه ها مشترک است ؛ شامل : Initiating , Planning , Executing Monitoring & Controlling , Closing

(Initiating process group) 1- گروه فرآيندي آغازين (Initiating process group) پروژه و يا فاز پروژه را تعريف و تصويب مي کند

2- گروه فرآيندي برنامه ريزي (planning process group) تعريف و اصلاح اهداف, برنامه ريزي فعاليتها براي دستيابي به اهداف

افراد و ساير منابع به منظور اجراي برنامه مديريت پروژه 3-گروه فرآيندي اجرايي (executing process group) يکپارچه سازي و هماهنگی افراد و ساير منابع به منظور اجراي برنامه مديريت پروژه

4- گروه فرآيندي نظارت و کنترل (monitoring & controlling process group) ارزيابي و نظارت دائمي ميزان پيشرفت ، براي تعيين انحرافات از برنامه مديريت پروژه که بر مبناي آن اقدامات اصلاحي ميتواند در مواقع ضروري و مورد نياز براي رسيدن به اهداف ، اتخاذ شود .
