Primary & Secondary Characters Primary Characters carries the weight of the narrative and may described as dynamic or round dynamic = changes in response to the events of the narrative round = fully developed; shows a variety of traits Secondary Characters remains flat or static and appears to serve a function connected to the growth of the primary characters static = stays the same throughout the narrative Flat = one-dimensional, usually showing only one trait
