Presentation transcript:

Power connectivity test PREFLIGHT CONNECTION TEST OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ONBOARD DRONES.

Step 1: 1: Battery Check connection between positive pole from battery and all positive connections on PDB: There are in total 6 ”+” connections on the PDB. Make a note of measured resistance on your excelsheet diagrams first row marked ”Page 2, Step 1, point no 1”. 1 4 5 2 4 3

Step 2: 2: Battery Check connection between negative pole from battery and all negative connections on PDB: There are in total 8 ”-” connections on the PDB. Make a note of measured resistance on your excelsheet diagram on the second row marked: ”Page 3, Step 2, point no 1”. 1 8 7 2 6 3 5 4

Step 3: 2: Battery - 1: Battery + Check crossconnection between positive pole from battery and the negative pole from the battery. Use the semiconductortest function on your DMM. Make a note of measured END voltage on your excelsheet diagram on the third row marked: ”Page 4, Step 3, point no. 1”. Repeat the steps above, BUT change polarity on your instrument: Positive on isntrument to ”LIPO -” on the PDB and the negative from your instrument to ”LIPO +” on the PDB. Make a note of measured END voltage on your excelsheet diagram on the third row marked: ”Page 4, Step 3, point no. 2”.

Step 4: Check connection between the ”12V” and ”GND”, make a note of the measured resistance in your diagram. Check connection between the ”5V” and ”GND”, make a note of the measured resistance in your diagram on the fourth row marked: ”Page 5, Step 4, point no 1 & 2”. 2: 5V Outlet 1: 12V outlet

Step 4: Check connection between the ”12V” and ”5V”, make a note of the measured resistance in your diagram. Check connection between the ”12V” and ”5V” using the semiconductor test – make an note of the measured voltage in your diagram. Change polarity and check again as mentioned above. 2: 5V Outlet 1: 12V outlet

Step 5: Does all make sense? Double check everything and compare with another drone – If available. Upload your result on Slack so everyone can compare their results with yours.
