becoming a teenager is an exiting and challenging adventure changes relationship parties friends

Teenagers can achieve…… reject……… solve……… cope with… prefer to….

Being a teenager is great!!! Being a teenager is great!! The friends, parties, and even relationships! Though we have our good times there are some issues that are common to us. For instance, BEING POPULAR! We try so hard to fit in the “in crowd”. We would change our hair, makeup, and clothes. We go to the mall like every week, and spend maybe a little bit over a $100 just to impress everyone else! Trying to impress somebody doesn’t get you anywhere, but it is just a small phase that teenagers go through.

They want to laugh They want to cry They want you to keep quiet They want to be alive They want to be independent They want to do what they want They want to have much free time

Teenage years are some of the best years of your life, but also some of the most difficult. You start high school, you play high school sports, and you may even make new friends, but as a teenager you also face peer pressure. Whether or not to fall into the trap of peer pressure is the issue. From drugs to gangs, you never know what someone is going to ask you to do. The one word you have to lean to say is no. It’s hard sometimes because you want to do what all your friends are doing, but sometimes its better just to be yourself.

Fill in each gap with the given words. Change the word if you need. Teenagers have different (ambition). They want to be (to depend) and to be (take) seriously. Most of teens try to express their (individual). The main problems are family problems, school problems, (to discriminate) and (cruel). There are many ways of (to solve) them.

Problems of teens’ life There are many people but you feel alone. You want to do what you want But your parents say when to come home. You want to be a grown-up But on the other hand you miss your childhood. You are allowed to do so many new things But there is the fear of decisions and responsibility. You laugh, you cry, you keep quiet, you want to sing. Sometimes you can’t explain what you feel. Those are problems of TEENAGES’ LIFE. Sometimes it’s really great but it also can be as hard as a knife.

Now teens are facing numerous problems. Depression – make a person feel sad, hopeless, worthless, pessimistic and guilty.

loneliness Interpersonal loneliness (you miss somebody who once close to you. This type of loneliness is closely associated with grief. You’re always on the look out for a new loved one. But, if you heal, you’re so afraid of more rejection.

drinking drugs Peer Press stress smoking

bully Wrong friendship Spending free time

Why is nothing ever easy? Why are some boys so very sleazy? Why can’t I have that brand new dress? Why am I under so much stress? Why don’ t my parents ever believe me? Why can’t they ever see… Why do I feel so often unhappy? Why do they always wish I was still in a nappy? Why does my face feel like a block of lard? Why are all these years really hard? There’s a reason for all these problems and tears. I’m going through my TEENAGE YEARS! A frustrated teenager, Scarborough

Growing up, doesn’t it just suck? It seems to be full of constant bad luck? Zits? Bad hair days and putting on weight, So many reasons for your self – hate. But hey, you’re alive, you’re unique, you’re so cool, Why do you always feel such a fool? Be true to yourself, forget all your faults, And you’ll soon be thinking much happier thoughts. Live life to the max and paint your town red, Who cares what people think and what they’re said? Don’t let them win and make you feel bad, “Cause people like that are really quite sad. So, enjoy your teens and have some fun, Your life has only just begun! Lauren,Romford.

Home task: Continue the sentences: The best thing in being a teen is…. What worries teenagers is…. Being a teenager is….. Adults complain about…… It’s not true that…. The trouble is that….

Young people play an important role in the modern society. Grown ups must remember that teenagers are the future of our country and help them to solve their problems.
