1 Self-worth

2 “Self-worth is how you feel about yourself
“Self-worth is how you feel about yourself. Sometimes good & sometimes bad but you need to remember that you’re something important to someone else. And to yourself.” “You need self-worth because if you don’t have it, you tend to be a downer.”

3 “In grade seven there was a girl who picked on me for the longest time
“In grade seven there was a girl who picked on me for the longest time. But one day she was not here & I was walking down the hall & her “friends” were talking about her behind her back.” “We need to be able to vent and cope and what I do is write on my computer. I’m always “happy” but what people don’t know is that sometimes I cry all night.”

4 “If we do something we love or believe that we’re worth something and say we have purpose in life, it might change how we look at ourselves. If you feel negative or hear negative, just try to brush it off & ignore it.”

5 “Don’t listen to the negative people.”
“You feel good about yourself when you’re proud of who you are.” “Other people can effect your self worth – positive and negative. We have the power to do that.”

6 “Self-worth is deciding if you want to life your life if the negative or in the positive.”
“Self worth is good.” “Self-worth is important for everyone to have. We need it.”

7 “Self-worth is feeling good about yourself and others.”
“If people would stop lying to cover up their own mistakes, stop putting others down with comments…they might have more self-worth.” “Self-worth is feeling good about yourself and others.” “Self-worth is a very important thing to have, but it’s hard to have.”

8 “People might try to tell you you’re worth nothing, so you need to have voices in your own head stronger than theirs, telling you that you are worth a lot.” “Self-worth is hard to come by. People think the only way to like yourself is to be pretty and thin. But that’s society. Society killed the teenager.”

9 “I could improve my self-worth by not listening to what other people say and think. It’s important to have self worth and feel good about yourself.” “People don’t feel good about themselves because other people say mean things that put them down on themselves.”

10 “It’s hard to like yourself when you feel like no one else does.”
“Self worth shows when you do something nice. “

11 “If you want to feel beautiful, be yourself
“If you want to feel beautiful, be yourself. Self confidence makes you feel amazing about yourself and you attract people like yourself. So if you’re happy, you’ll attract happy people.” “Don’t take bad comments to heart. Realize that you have many more positive qualities. Don’t let people get you down. Believe that you can do good things.”

12 “We need self-worth to live a happy life.”
“People don’t feel good about themselves because of other people.” “We need self-worth to live a happy life.” “Everybody is worth something. I need to tell myself that.”

13 “People say bad stuff. I like myself anyway.”
“I had to talk my friend out of suicide. He’s gay and hates himself for it. Society taught him that who he is is wrong. I’m scared everyday that I’ll wake up and find that he ended his life.” “People say bad stuff. I like myself anyway.”

14 “Lots of people are told they’re not good enough.”
“Make a positive impact not a negative one.” “Lots of people are told they’re not good enough.” “Self-worth is being trustworthy to yourself and not being someone you’re not.”

15 “Our own worth should not be measured by what other people think about us because everyone has their own opinion. I think self-respect is the most important thing to have because a lot of people do things to themselves that harm themselves. You always hear “be respectful to others” but no one ever really tells you to respect yourself.”

16 “Be who you are, and be proud of it. No matter what.”
“When you make comments about yourself that put yourself down, you lose confidence and start believing them. It’s hard to have self-worth with so many negative influences.” “Be who you are, and be proud of it. No matter what.”

17 “Beauty is only skin deep
“Beauty is only skin deep. In the end, your opinion about yourself is more important than any other person on this Earth. You’re worth being happy with yourself. Everyone is beautiful in their own distinct way.”

18 “If you have no self worth, try filling your time with positive people
“If you have no self worth, try filling your time with positive people. After a while you’ll feel positive about yourself, inside & out.” “Many people don’t feel good about themselves because they think they need to look like models in ads.”

19 “I love who I am. I may not be the prettiest, or the thinnest but I am who I am. Self-worth is important because it’s better to be yourself than to pretend to be someone else.”

20 “And slowly, finally I’m seeing myself as beautiful.”
“People who put others down have problems with their self-image too. That’s why it’s very hard to change the way people feel about themselves.” “And slowly, finally I’m seeing myself as beautiful.”

21 “It’s what’s on the inside that counts.”
“People in your life effect your self worth a lot. If you grow up with someone who tells you that you aren’t good enough, you start to believe it.” “It’s what’s on the inside that counts.”

22 “We can’t let anyone create our self-image
“We can’t let anyone create our self-image. We are who we are and we have to love that and let go of the negative.”
