Generation Gap Generation gap will always exist, because a lot of things are different between teens and their parents: tastes, manners, behavior. Teens often have lack of privacy, because their parents want to know what they are up to. A lot of children complain that parents are always nagging when they do badly at school. But it’s not very difficult to achieve the understanding in the family. At first, parents should give to their children more freedom. But at the same time don’t let them keep everything secret. Teens should understand that parents love them and worry about their children. Tell parents about your study and friends and they won’t worry about you so much. Different tastes are also a big problem. And parents should let teens wear and listen to what they want. And don’t forget that you should respect each other because it is the most important thing to make a happy family.

Teenagers Problems What do teens worry about? What are their problems nowadays? Just have a look at the following list: Relations with classmates Relations with teachers Bad habits (smoking, drugs, alcohol and even caffeine addiction) Marks and final results in school and sports Lack of self-confidence and individuality Even school uniform! They want to see bright colours instead black and white

Shout!!! It is our first issue of the magazine, but some people who need advice, have already written their letters. Dear Agony Aunt! I write because I can’t live this way anymore. Constant conflicts with my parents, eternal quarrels with my friends, unhappy love, bad relationship with my classmates make me really upset. I’m only sixteen and sometimes I feel that something bad will happen with me. Sometimes when I can’t suffer any more I have a strange thought about suicide or something like that. But then I understand it will really upset my relatives and it stops me. I don’t know what to do. I know you can give good advice, which will help me to solve my problems. HELP ME! You are my last hope! Agony Aunt I see your problem is very complicated. But you should understand that the main person, who can help you, is you. You should look at yourself from another point of view. Try to imagine, that you are another person, watching you. It will be easier for you to find your problems. May be your unhappy present is connected with some events of your past. May be you just don’t have a real aim of your life, your hobby. You should find something that is really interesting for you. Also you should be more communicative with other people. Who knows may be they could be your best friends one day. And try not to conflict with your parents. It will be easy, if you remember that someone loves you.

Shout!!! Dear Agony Aunt I am a usual teenager, who lives in traditional family. There is a serious relation to education in our family. As many teenagers I would like to do crazy things, I’d like to miss my school lessons, to have fun with my friends, I’d like to be always in the center of attention. But my parents don’t understand it. We have some disagreements. They want me to come home in time, to do my homework, to clean our flat. I know that they want to bring me up properly, but I also want to do teenagers things. I always do what they want, I study well and regularly go training. I don’t have any bad habits, I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t smoke. Many teenagers often make silly things, dangerous for their health. My dream is to live without parent’s care, I want to be independent. I want my parents to stop control me so much. I think that I can solve many problems by myself and I don’t need their help. Agony Aunt You should show your parents that you are have grown up enough. Be more responsible, do what they tell. It is hard, I understand. But only this way your parents can understand that you are responsible and independent. And it will be easier for them to give more freedom, to let you doing what you want, when they are sure that their son is so responsible and everything is ok with him.

This is our reader’s letter about family values and traditions. And it is the first letter which we decided to publish. Thank you, Dasha!
