The drop out rates in the region is 63% The Gender divide: Of the total enrolled in schools here only 41% boys and 38% girls attend classes
THE CHALLENGES Rich and poor divide: Over 48% of the poorest are illiterate and only 0.4% have gone beyond higher secondary. Technological Divide: None of the government educational institutions in this region have a computer facility.

THE PROPERTY AT JHADOL PHASE I Time Frame: (Jan –May 2010) Acquiring Land for the Project: The project will start on with 3 acres of land in Jetena village, Jhadol. Preliminary Design and Master Plan preparation and approval from local authority for construction. Boundary walls, tube wells, electricity connection etc. being done. Finance: £ 32244. PHASE II (A Primary level School) Time Frame (March – July 2011) Four class rooms, office, toilets and other facilities. Finance: £ 21110 – Design, approvals, construction costs. Work Completed Ground Breaking Ceremony

PHASE III (Secondary School) Time Frame (October 2011 to March 2013) Ground floor plan. 6250 sq.ft plan for seven class rooms, office, library, staff room etc. Finance: £ 70,000. A few friends have promised 1/3 funds for Phase 3.
