A. Reflect on this question… What does it mean to be media literate?

B. 5 Main Ideas of Unit 1. All media messages are ‘constructed’ 2. These messages are constructed using creative language with its own rules. 3. Different people experience the same media messages in different ways.

B. 5 Main Ideas of Unit 4. Media messages come with values and points of view. 5. Most media messages are constructed to gain money and/or power.

C. LOGO GROUP ACTIVITY Important definition: LOGO: Symbol used for marketing a brand or company. Logos are used to sell and they aspire to be icons.

C. LOGO GROUP ACTIVITY Assign the following roles to your group members: 1. Discussion leader 2. Timekeeper 3. Secretary 4. Idea generators
