Year 11 and 12 Subject Selection – VCAL Personal Development Skills Senior and Intermediate Picture??
Course Description The Personal Development Skills units are developed to re-enforce students comprehension and learnings that may not normally be recognised within other qualifications with emphasis on community and self motivation. These attributes are valued within society and most work environments as valuable preparation for employment. Locally developed programs that use different social and work contexts to develop positive attitudes and employability skills. Within the Intermediate range of teachings students undertake tasks with assistance versus the Senior component which focuses on students being autonomous in their work. Various work skills on both a practical and theoretical level are covered in Personal Development Skills.
Why Study this? Work Tasks Assessment tasks Includes Community awareness and involvement in projects. Risk Assessments for projects Self management , preparation and organisational skills. Project Design and production . Tasks are competency based. Folio submissions with relevant content. Construction including preparation, design and management.
