For Workforce Development One Direction For Workforce Development

GREATER CLEVELAND PARTNERSHIP: Introduce Our Mission: To mobilize private-sector leadership, expertise and resources to create attractive business conditions that create jobs, grow investment and improve the economic prosperity of the region. We do this through: Advocacy; Education & Workforce Development; Business Development & Resources; Infrastructure & Physical Development; and Economic Inclusion  The Talent Imperative: GCP will shrink the talent gap by more effectively supporting navigation for employers to the right existing solutions and by driving the creation of resources to more aggressively address our most critical talent gaps. Member-driven initiatives with key staff execution: Office of Business Workforce Engagement; aggressive, skills-based school to adult training continuum; enhanced Community Strategy/Plan for Diverse and Inclusive Economic Growth; advocacy for business- friendly education/workforce outcomes We cannot do it alone

GREATER CLEVELAND PARTNERSHIP: Connect to vision How is your initiative connected to the Local WIOA Plan / County Workforce Transformation Plan? Which goals and strategies does your work directly contribute to or impact? In sync on businesses having a steady supply of skilled talent for in-demand jobs as found in local plan Dovetails with the County’s work to support a dynamic business community through a strong, dependable talent pipeline that keeps jobs filled. Also working to build alignment to move shared goals and shared impact. Workforce Development Board: Member of the board and strategic functions committee; work to identify business representation for the board County Workforce Transformation Plan: member of the County Funders’ Committee; connecting members with a need to SkillUp; working to establish employer driven interventions – influenced by a sector partnership approach - around in-demand jobs in our region
