Update on WG10 activities

Recent activities on EGEA-Net WG10 telco in March 2017 – discussed asanetwork proposal to EGEA of 24/2 New proposal from asanetwork on 14/7/17 – Q&A between EGEA and asanetwork Revised proposal from EGEA on 21/9/17 – reviewed in a telco with asanetwork on 29/9 Discussion in AICA on 5/10/17 – resolution of approval with modifications: The new EGEA-Net technical committee (including WG10) shall have at least 2/3 of the members from companies under the EGEA umbrella The costs of the specifications cannot be changed unilaterally by asanetwork If asanetwork becomes unable to maintain and distribute the specifications, EGEA will acquire their ownership National associations can nominate a certification body in the country, even if not an EU- notified body A bridge should be developed to support existing MCTC-NET2 compliant equipment
