Science/ Social Studies What’s happening in… First Grade August 10-August 14 Reminders Tuesday and Wednesday is P.E. Please make sure your child has on tennis shoes. Return Back to School packet Sign up for Remind Math This week students will be working on chapter 1: Counting to 10. Reading In our class we will be using the Daily 5 approach. This approach consists of five stations, read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, work on writing and word work. During these station I will be working with small groups so that I can better meet all students needs. This week we are learning about read to self and the three ways to read a book. Birthdays Jackson Barrick-August 10th Bailey Knight-August 10th Writing This week students will be learning to spell phonetically. If your child is writing at home and comes to a word they don’t know please have them sound it out and underline it.
