Medicinal Drugs (3) Antibiotics: a substance that kills bacteria, but does not harm our cells Discovered 1944 Can loose potency

Misused Drugs: Heroin (4) Opium Poppies: gave us heroin, morphine, codine Depressant: slows brain functions, slows breathing, decreases pain, euphoria Can be Life threatening Very addictive
