Vocational leadership and agents of change James Andrews Vocational leadership and agents of change

Vocational calling Vocation is an occupation a person is qualified in Calling is like a strong urge toward a specific career What I learned through the semester is that these two go together because through our vocation we are fulfilling our call to be a disciple of Jesus

Background  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLXcIocOZqw&feature=youtu.be Orthopedic surgeon for knee, elbow, and shoulder injuries Specialist in repairing damaged ligaments. Andrews received his undergraduate and medical degrees from LSU He completed his residency at Tulane Medical School and completed fellowships at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and the University of Lyon.

James Andrews vocation for medicine Known for working on high-profile and was highlights on an ESPN article that commended his talents Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham is a multimillion- dollar enterprise that affects multibillion- dollar leagues He currently serves as the team doctor for Auburn University, the University of Alabama, and for the Washington Redskins

Program He is the driving force for a roadshow health education program called “Go for It” It includes many different celebrity athletes that go around promoting kids to stay healthy and fit

James Andrews vocation for medicine  Dr. James Andrews "has become a hidden force in sports — rescuing careers, changing the outcome of games, and making billions for stars and teams — by mending the world’s best athletes and driving medical innovation”. He is also known as the Alpha Doc and every athletic trainer, physical therapist and coaches has his phone number In an interview with HBO sports he says, “I’m working because that is what I like to do. We have a lot of say and one of them is if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing and not having fun then go do something different. I get up every morning thanking the good Lord I get to do what I do on a daily basis”.
