Remote Working People can use ICT to work while away from the office at home or travelling. They can : Send emails to colleagues and customers Access and transfer files on company servers or on cloud storage. The system that stores the files for remote access must be: Configured to allow remote access Set up so they worker has the proper authentication to be allowed access Able to send and receive files securely Remote access can involve: Sharing the desktop of a computer in the office Using a Virtual Private Network Accessing files and folders using specialist software such as FTP.
