Kinetic Energy: The energy an object posses due to its motion

Formula for Kinetic Energy Energy is a form of work, so what units do you think it has?

How much work is done by the football on the ground? A 2 kg football is thrown into the air at a speed of 25 m/s straight into the air. How much kinetic energy did the football have when it was released. What was the football’s kinetic energy right before it hits the ground? How much work is done by the football on the ground? As the ball flies into the air is the kinetic energy increasing or decreasing? If the ball was thrown with double the speed how would that change the kinetic energy?
