DAILY INSPECTION Purpose: Ensure that no defect has occurred which might render the aircraft unsafe

Defects can occur due to normal wear and tear maladjustments careless handling severe flight or landing loads

Daily inspection components Wings: visual inspection aileron hinges. Control horns and mass balance weights aileron cable tension airbrakes and their mechanism wing  fuselage attachments aileron and airbrake attachments to fuselage wing root fairing strip

Tail: visual inspection elevator, rudder and trim tab hinges and control horns attachment of tail plane ( removable in all gliders) connection of elevator and trimmer attachment of fairing

Fuselage: visual inspection condition of skid/wheel and tailskid elevator cable tension rudder pedal / rudder cable tension no loose objects condition of interior of the cockpit and safety belts clear canopy with serviceable attachments instruments in working condition batteries secure check the LS-1 validity Cable release hook and release mechanism

Controls: Equipment: full and free movement ailerons rudder trim tab airbrakes Wheel brake Equipment: serviceable parachute cushion ballast weight DI logbook
