By Benjamin Joseph Wisser BENJAMIN FRANKLIN By Benjamin Joseph Wisser

In 1706 on January 17th Benjamin Franklin was born. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He had only two years of schooling. At twelve years of age he was sent to be apprenticed to his older brother, James.

Ben’s brother James had a bad temper and often beat Ben. So when he was seventeen he ran away.

Eventually Ben opened his own print shop and became the best printer in Philadelphia. The papers that made him famous were the “Pennsylvania Gazette” and Poor Richards Almanack Ben then retired in 1749 and began inventing and helping his town, Philadelphia.

Ben invented many inventions like the lightning rod, the armonica, his own odometer, the Franklin Stove, and the first battery.

He also charted the Gulf Streams, invented bifocals, and even a long arm for reaching books on high shelves. He also had many more accomplishments.

As a politician Ben Franklin did many things for his country like… repealing the Stamp Act. got arms, food, arms, and ammunition for the American Army. got a sizable loan for the United States when they needed it most.

In 1790 Benjamin Franklin died. People around the world were all very sad.

I admire Benjamin Franklin for his personality.

Through many more years people will still write and read about Benjamin Franklin.
