Multiple Payment Reset with debit/credit cards Welcome to the training on resetting a transaction when more than one debit or credit card was used.
Reset DAC tasks last, so in this case, the REN task needs to be rest first.
Reset Messages window will come up telling the processor what is happening with the money.
Once the REN task is reset, it no longer shows in the envelope Once the REN task is reset, it no longer shows in the envelope. Only the DAC tasks will be there. Reset both DAC tasks separately.
This shows which card was used, and how much was put on each.
Once the DAC tasks have been reset, the envelope will show that there are two reset DAC tasks, one reset REN task, and two void tasks that are in ready to pay. Go to the payment window.
The Payment Information will automatically populate with the amounts on each of the cards that were used to pay for the product. Select Save
PIN Pad authorization window will open PIN Pad authorization window will open. Each line will give the information needed to complete the reset. The top line, which is automatically highlighted by the system is for $11.00 which will go back on the card with the last four digits of 5556. The second line is for $15.50 and will go back on the card with the last 4 digits of 5559. Select Submit to start the debit/credit reset process.
Customer slides card and follows all prompts to complete the reset for $11.00
The customer must make sure that if they paid using a debit card that they choose debit when doing the reset.
Complete the second card reset following the reset directions.
When the PIN Pad portion of the reset has been completed, the PIN Pad Authorization window will automatically close taking the processor back to the Payment window. Select Close to finish the reset.
Work Flow Envelope Tasks window will show that the void tasks have been completed.
Receipt for each debit/void will automatically print showing the amount that went back onto the card
