Advance Family Planning at a Glance Advance Family Planning (AFP) is an advocacy initiative of the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health implemented in nine countries It aims to improve funding and policy environment and to galvanize political commitment needed to ensure access to a full choice of family planning services and information This is attained through collective efforts- working with likeminded partners to build consensus- mostly targeting decision makers using a unique approach- AFP SMART Strategy
