Pituitary fossa lateral (coned) Position as for the lateral skull Central ray directed perpendicular to bucky and centered at a point 2.5 cm above and 2.5 cm in front of the EAM Collimate the beam appropriately

SMV 1 Facing the tube and slightly away from the vertical bucky, The neck is extended as far as possible to bring the vertex of the skull in contact with the bucky Median plane perpendicular & Base line parallel to bucky Centre in midline at the level of EAMM, perpendicular to bucky

SMV 2 The patient’s shoulders are raised on pillows and the neck hyper -extended to bring the vertex of the skull in contact with the table. Median plane perpendicular & Base line parallel to bucky Centre in midline at the level of EAMM, perpendicular to bucky

Base of the skull (SubMento-Vertical) - SMV If sitting, facing the tube and slightly away from the vertical bucky.
