Heat Transfer Heat transfer is the movement of heat energy from a warmer item to a cooler item. Remember, heat moves in predictable ways, from a high to a low.

Radiation The transfer of Heat energy through the air or empty space. Heat you can feel without touching it Examples: Sun Fire Light bulb

Conduction Conduction is heat transfer through solids. Heat goes from one Object to another Object Examples: -Touching the bottom of an iron -Washing your hands in hot water -Touching a plate after you take it out the microwave
